Finally after a forced hiatus, the third edition of the CLAI Cross-Country Run is back, a return rewarded by the presence of more than 120 athletes from numerous sports clubs. At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Coop. Clai in Sasso Morelli, the competitive race organized by Atletica Sacmi Avis, in collaboration with Cooperativa CLAI, sponsored by the Municipality of Imola and included in the regional Fidal calendar, kicked off.
Overall winner was Luis Matteo Ricciardi of Atletica Imola Sacmi Avis, who ran the 12 km with a time of 40'43", followed by Riccardo Gaddoni, of the same sports club, and Davide Sughi, of Atletica Blizzard. In the Women's category, Manuela Brasini of Atletica 85 Faenza won with a time of 50'13", followed by Viviana Zago of Società Sportiva Leopodistica and Simona Mascaro, Società Sportiva Lamone.
At the same time, the Ecological Walk was held, also full of participants of all ages: it was an opportunity to experience a day of sports and relaxation among the iconic places of Sasso Morelli, under the banner of fun, wellness and the environment.
At the end of the event the awards ceremony and a rich buffet offered by CLAI to all participants.
All proceeds were donated to Atletica Imola Sacmi Avis for sports educational activities.
