FAQ

SHIPMENTS

On average, the consumer can receive the order placed online within 3 days, which becomes 5 in the case of delivery to islands or at problematic times of the year (e.g. during the particularly busy Christmas period or if there are strikes, natural disasters, etc.). In everyday weekdays, average times are further reduced: usually every order received is prepared on the same day and the next working day is passed to the Courier for shipment. Should the order arrive over the weekend, it will be passed to the Courier for shipment on Monday.

A new delivery attempt will be arranged for the next day. For any issues, requests and/or needs, please use the email [email protected] to interact with the Clai office.

Products are placed in special boxes and carefully packaged. We wrap all "loose" cold cuts, "loose" whole cheeses and glass products such as sauces, jars, wine bottles, oil.. with paper. All these box preparation operations are carried out by Clai personnel.

Shipping on purchases made on www.clai.it is free for amounts greater than or equal to 45 euros. For lower amounts shipping cannot be activated.

Yes, all directions for tracking the shipment will arrive via email.

No, we currently deliver only to Italy, Republic of San Marino and Vatican City.

PRODUCTS

At www.clai.it there are different types of products: salami, ham, cheese. Each individual product can be purchased individually (several pieces of the same product) and/or together with other products (in modular boxes of your choice). Some products then are also placed in predefined themed boxes; for example, seasoned sausage Passita, salami Contadino and Campagnolo salami are together within the "Scent of Romagna" box. Then there are some products, e.g., wine and oil, that can only be purchased within pre-defined boxes. For example, Sangiovese Doc "Campo di Mezzo" from Cantina Tremonti can only be had by purchasing the box "Una piadina in compagnia."

Yes, in the product sheets and/or the presentation sheet of the predefined boxes, you can find information about: the production process, organoleptic characteristics, recommendations for use, storage methods, ingredients and nutrition table.

Zuarina is one of the historic ham factories in Langhirano, a town that has become world famous precisely for Parma Ham. Since 2012 Clai has gradually acquired the majority of it, eventually taking it over completely. Renowned for its characteristic sweetness, Zuarina ham is known and appreciated in the most prestigious locations around the world. The distinctions that characterize the high quality of Zuarina's proposal are many and well integrated by the enhancement of the territory, Italian raw materials and people. From the careful selection of exclusively 100% Italian meat from a proprietary controlled supply chain, to the attention to all stages of the process. From the pinch of salt in the salting process, to "cold" resting (particularly long and delicate). From hand tying to the excellence of deboning done in the factory by master salami makers and aimed at achieving the best possible quality at the Customer's service. The long curing process takes place in the underground cellar, an ideal place to promote the formation of the aromas and colors that distinguish the quality of Zuarina ham.

At the end of 2019, the AgriCoop cooperative, owner of the "Faggiola" brand, was incorporated into Clai. "Faggiola" cheeses, from the mountain overlooking the valleys of production, are born in Palazzuolo sul Senio (FI), in the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. They are strictly artisanal, still processed by hand, one by one, by Master Cheesemakers who guard the wisdom of rural tradition combined with the security of a certified, ever-evolving quality. The milk that is processed is only mountain milk, high quality 100% Italian and from the pastures of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.

First of all by criteria of quality, verified and recognized by the market. Then also by territorial logic and, where possible, also by cooperative membership. For example, the AZIENDA VITIVINICOLA TRE MONTI. Family-run, it has 55 hectares of vines spread over two estates: one on the hills of Imola and one on those of Forlì, two close but different realities that complement each other. Multi-awarded with awards for the quality and distinctiveness of its proposals, it is present in more than 20 world markets (www.tremonti.it).
